The Cancer Center At Denton Regional

The Cancer Center at Denton Regional is a comprehensive cancer care program that has been designed to provide a continuous flow of care for area oncology patients.  Our staff of expert cancer care physicians includes board-certified Primary Care physicians, Radiologists, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Surgeons and a Fellowship-trained Breast Radiologist.

State of the art radiation therapy is now available through the recently opened Denton Regional Radiation Oncology.   Lead by a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist, physicists, and other highly trained staff, the radiation center is located on the hospital campus in the Professional Office Building, Suite 111.  Denton Regional Radiation Oncology offers the only Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) with on-Board Imaging which improves the precision and effectiveness of cancer treatments.

Biopsies, mammograms and other key diagnostic procedures are part of the cancer service process.  Advanced diagnostic services such as CT, PET/CT, MRI, and Nuclear Imaging are available through the Mayhill Diagnostic Center at Denton Regional.

We are associated with Solis Womens' Health for services such as full-field digital mammography, digital ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, and ultrasound-guided biopsy.

Surgical options are available through the hospital or Day Surgery Center at Denton Regional, as well as inpatient oncology, nutrition counseling, lymphedema therapy, and outpatient cancer rehabilitation.

The Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at Denton Regional will provide complete medical oncology and hematology services.  It will be located in the Professional Office Building, directly across from Denton Regional Radiation Oncology.

Denton Regional was awarded approval by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer in 2003 and became re-certified in 2006 for a three year period receiving 4 commendations. (Read more at www.facs.org/cancer).  The goal of the Commission is to decrease morbidity and mortality caused by cancer through prevention, monitoring, and reporting of care, standard setting and education.
